America's Purpose-Driven Van Company

Welcome to Vandoit

We’re a family-owned and operated American original that has been building purpose-driven vans in the heart of America since 1947. Combining generations of experience with modern innovation, Vandoit is a trusted national brand, with over 1,500 of its custom vans on the road. From rugged adventure vans to mission-critical fleets for first responders, every vehicle is a testament to our company’s commitment to quality, durability, and American craftsmanship.

A Foundation of Quality and Trust

THE VANDOIT DIFFERENCE

What makes a Vandoit van truly unique is the company’s unwavering focus on superior engineering, certified quality, and robust materials. This foundation of excellence ensures that every van is not just a vehicle, but a reliable, long-term asset built for safety and longevity.

Aluminum Extrusion Skeleton

Much like the 2x4s in a house, Vandoit constructs its van interiors using a lightweight aluminum extrusion “skeleton.” This framework provides exceptional structural integrity for all interior modules, from cabinets to beds, ensuring a strong and rattle-free experience.

Marine-Grade Components

Every Vandoit is built with high-quality, marine-grade components. These materials are specifically designed to withstand harsh environments, moisture, and temperature changes, ensuring the van’s interior remains functional and resilient for years to come.

In-House Fabrication

80% of components for every van are made in-house using advanced tools like CNC machines, plasma cutters, and a water jet that cuts with 50,000 PSI of pressure. The team shapes all the components from flooring to custom roof racks for precision and quality control.

A Look Inside The Dream Factory

The Build Process

Vandoit’s production facility is where a customer’s vision transforms into a tangible, purpose-built van. The process is a carefully orchestrated journey through four main stages.

Stage 1:
In-House Fabrication
Stage 2:
Pre-Production
Stage 3:
Production & Assembly
Stage 4:
Post-Production & Quality Checks

The process begins in the fabrication department, where about 80% of the parts for every van are made. The team shapes all the components from flooring to custom roof racks, often using recycled materials.

A factory van is brought into pre-production to be prepared like a blank canvas. The team guts the original interior, insulates the vehicle, runs all necessary wiring for electrical systems, and cuts openings for fans and air conditioning units.

The pre-fabricated aluminum "skeleton" is bolted into place, followed by the installation of insulated walls, ceilings, and flooring. Technicians install the custom modules and components according to the specific model.

The van enters post-production for specialty installations and final checks. This is where unique items like exterior lights, custom flip-up desks, or roof-mounted items are added. The van undergoes a rigorous quality check to ensure every single component is perfect.

A Welcome To The Family

Delivery Day

The culmination of the build process isn’t just a transaction, it’s “Delivery Day,” a genuine welcome to the Vandoit family. The day begins in a comfortable lounge where the final paperwork is handled. Before the big reveal, new owners can browse the “garage sale wall” for discounted gear—a perfect chance to grab a last-minute addition. Then comes the main event: seeing your finished van for the first time. A customer relations expert provides a detailed walkthrough, explaining everything from the electrical system to creature comforts. As final adjustments are made to perfect the van’s setup, the team gets you lunch, gifts you some VanDOit merchandise, and ensures even the kids are entertained. It’s an experience designed to make sure that when you hit the road, you feel fully supported and part of the community.
